NAR: Existing home sales dampened by the housing market’s lack of inventory

After rising for two consecutive months, the nation’s existing home sales declined 2.2% in September, according to the National Association of Realtors. Total existing home sales – completed transactions that include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and co-ops – decreased to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 5.38 million.
